"..whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."

Is this the last poem,
That I should write.
I asked a woman,
Who had no sight.
To me she said,
“Although I have no sight,
I'd love to hear,
The poems you write.”
Then there was a man,
Who could not hear.
When he spoke to his wife,
He called her, dear.
They smiled and laughed,
As they went their way.
I am glad I saw them,
So early in my day.
Later, I saw a child in a stroller,
Who had no feet,
His mother was friendly,
As they crossed the street.
I thought what if,
This child had been me.
How would I deal,
With having no feet?
At the airport, I saw them,
As they meandered along,
One of them whistled,
A familiar song.
The other was reaching,
For things I could not see,
A police officer grabbed him,
Thank God, it was’t me.
Then I thought,
It could have been me.
I remember such days,
When I thought I was free.
How that I too,
Would take things and run,
Thinking all the time,
I was having fun.
We stole some gas,
From a stranger’s car,
Thinking we were cool,
And we’d go far.
We stole hubcaps too,
On another day.
Thinking we were smart,
Because we got away.
Then there was the night,
Of the party we crashed,
They ran us out,
So the teacher’s car was trashed.
The other day,
The Holy Spirit came by,
To do His work,
Before my very eyes.
Somewhere I saw me,
Behind those bars,
Making license plates,
With no door ajar.
I called out to Jesus,
Asking Him to come in.
I remember Him saying,
He would be my friend.
Many years have gone by,
With those things out of sight.
I really don’t believe,
This is the last poem, that I should write.
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” (Galatians 6:7-8)
