GOD did it again!  He showed HIMSELF strong to my family and I on September 15, 2000 in Greenville, South Carolina.  We were going to help Kellie's sister and her husband pack up their moving-van to move to Arizona.  We decided to stop and eat in Greenville before arriving at my wife's sisters.  We had decided on Cracker Barrel, but at the last minute decide to go to Boston Market.  Being a state trooper in North Carolina I noticed two South Carolina Highway Patrol cars, but did not think too much about it.  Once we received our food and sat down to eat I saw two state troopers sitting at the back of the restaurant.  My daughter asked me if I was going to talk to them and I said I did not want to bother them while they were eating.

After finishing our meal we began to leave and the two state troopers were walking out in front of us.  One of them turned around to speak to the other and noticed the picture of a badge on my shirt.  He quickly looked up at me and said, "North Carolina Trooper?" and I said yes sir.  He introduced himself as Corporal Carl Long and then asked me where I was stationed.  I said, I'm Trooper Dan Souther stationed in Hickory, NC and that I used to be stationed in Rockingham, which borders between North and South Carolina.  He said, "Rockingham, do you know a Keith Miller?"  I said, "Yes, but he is not a trooper."  He said, "I know he is a minister."  I told him he was my pastor in Statesville, NC.  He said, "You have got to be kidding, he was my pastor when I lived in Boone, NC.  You must be the fellow that Keith called me about years ago wanting to know if I could give you any pointers when you were trying to get on with the NC Highway Patrol."  I said, "That is incredible!  Now I remember Keith telling me about his good friend who was a SC Trooper."  He said, "What a small world."  And I said, "No it is a HUGE world!!  This is simply GOD showing HIMSELF strong!"  I shared with Carl that everyday I pray that GOD would show HIMSELF strong to me and help me be exactly where HE wants me to be and to see exactly what HE wants me to see.  I then shared a passage from the bible with him.

II Chronicles 16:9  For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.

I said GOD was doing just that for us.  We both shared stories of how GOD had put us at just the right place to stop individuals that truly needed to be stopped.  We had both seen GOD show HIMSELF strong many times and we knew HE had just done it again!!
