Hope Community is a non-profit organization situated in a poor slum area in Kenya called Kinangop.  Hope Community Center recognizes the unique value of orphans, street children and poor people by creating a place of hope for them. This reveals that human suffering and joy can lead to growth, healing and unity. This is done through sharing life with orphans, street children and poor adults who have no life of their own.

Our vision is to live, work and pray together - to create a place that the poor and abandoned can call home. (Most of these people once lived in the street corridors and sewage pipes). At Hope Community Center we enjoy faithful relationships, forgiveness, celebration, God's personal presence and love.

Hope Community Center is making a difference!  We have pulled 300 kids from the street (these kids had been eating and drinking out of bins and sleeping in dirty culverts).  We have also built one hundred homes for homeless people.

To reach these people we have to combine all our efforts. We have introduced a Christian street kids choir, sewing program, and computerized classes of math, English and Christian education to people who do not know how to write or read. This group of people have been holding indecent jobs, such as selling illegal drugs, brewing traditional liquor and prostituting.

Our Goals are:

• Education: To enable street children, who are orphans, destitute and abandoned, to acquire Government approved education without interruption.
• Health/Feeding: Access preventative and curative health care for these children.
• Shelter/Housing: To accommodate 300 children in our orphanage
• Micro Enterprise: To expand Micro Enterprise through applying new technologies and teaching new skills to the children.
• Spiritual Development: Provide the children with an opportunity to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to respond to it.
