Kingdom Motivated Prayer
by Janice Stewart
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Faith in God is the prerequisite to pleasing our heavenly Father. Not only must we have faith in God but faith in His written word.
As we the believer come to God in prayer we must first believe that He actually exists and that we are actually speaking to the one, true
and living God. As we approach Him in prayer with this fact in mind, then we can move forward to the next fact that He is a rewarder of
those who diligently seek Him. Sometimes it is not so apparent to us that God is going to reward us when we seek Him because we have to
wait for the answer. Many times the answer does not come right away,
and our faith in God as a rewarder begins to be shaken.
But the scripture says that God "IS" a rewarder. So why do we have to wait sometimes. It is in the waiting that God draws us closer to
Himself as we continue to diligently seek Him as we are waiting for the answer.
So as you are waiting for the answer to your prayer, remember that God will reward you with the promise as you are drawn closer to
Him in the waiting.
