Putting
Christ Back In Christmas The
world has taken Christ out of Christmas. They have substituted “Xmas”
for “Christmas”. But as Christian, we should put Christ
back in Christmas. What I mean is that we should exemplify Christ this
Christmas to our loved ones and to all those we come in contact with. The following are a few things of what Xmas means to the world:
The
following are a few things of what Christmas should mean to the Christian:
Isaiah 9:6 says, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace”. Luke
2:8-11 says, “And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the
field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the
Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and
they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold,
I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For
unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ
the Lord”. John
3:16,17 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that
the world through him might be saved”. Let’s
put “Christ” back into Christmas. |
