Psalm 19:12  Who can understand his errors? Cleanse thou me from secret faults.

All of us make mistakes in life and seem not to go a day without making an error or two somewhere.  An occasional mistake or error is easy to understand. The fact that we are human beings makes us prone to error.  But what about those secret faults, those deeply imbedded traits that have not come to the surface yet or those secret things of life that one may be hiding from everyone?  In the midst of trying to find a solution to help the situation, we ask ourselves the same question that David asked himself in Psalm 19:12.  How can I ever understand my errors and my faults?  Why do I continue this way?

David realized as most of us come to realize that only the Creator of all human flesh can understand and cleanse (change and make new) that which He has created.  Who can understand the deep recesses of the soul of man except God Himself?  How can He know the secret faults of Man? He is Omniscient. He is all knowing. Even in his Omniscience, he is faithful and just to cleanse us through the washing of the water of the Word of God, Ephesians 5:26 and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

So how can we come to rest in our souls with the fact that there are secret faults in our souls that even we don't know about?  How can we come to grips with the fact that those that we do know about we are hiding from others?  How do we deal with the fact that God Almighty knows about them?  If you know Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, just pray as David did in Psalm 19:12 and begin to study God's Word.  

Psalm 119:9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy Word.

If you do not know Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, go to John 3:16 and pray that prayer and from there the process will begin.  Go to the Lord this day in prayer. He is waiting for you.
